Is Being Vegan Just A Trend?

Glamies are you vegan? The word vegan is definitely a household term these days. In resturants there are vegan menus, in the beauty industry there is now vegan cosmetics, there are even vegan drinks!
But what does “Vegan” really mean? Vegan is a person who does not eat any food derived from animals and who typically does not use other animal products. And it doesn’t stop there being vegan is not just a way of eating it’s definitely a way of lifestyle.
Many have adapted this lifestyle notice this report by the research firm GlobalData, only 1% of U.S. consumers claimed to be vegan in 2014. And in 2017, that number rose to 6%. A 600% increase in veganism in the U.S. in only 3 years is a staggering statistic. It's pretty obvious that more and more people are moving toward a plant-based lifestyle, and its not just a trend, its becoming the normal for a majority people. • I don’t think that I could go vegan. I love dairy too much, especially cheese. It does seem to be a great lifestyle. The vegans that I know of have found the fountain of youth…not aging at all.

  • I do a 90/10 diet where most meals are plant based vegan and smaller portions aren’t. I love that the beauty industry has gone vegan with their products.
